Convolutional Art - the Depot

It is said that the best test of the quality of procedural generation is to look at the wide, unselected output. In the two previous posts, I have done the opposite, selecting seven of the best pieces. On one hand, this runs the risk of overselection. On the other, it also runs the risk of underselection, since my taste might not align with everyone else's.

This post will showcase the 30 last consecutive pieces, to show off the width of possible ouput. It should be mentioned though that each piece does run through four human selections of four mutations, so even here, there is some sort of curation. I will also test a quick approach for generating names.

These pieces might not be as visually striking in small form as the earlier ones, so I suggest clicking the images to see them in full size.

Blue

Alright, I do need to mention that the generator sometimes pulls from a pre-made motif. This beautiful woman was not invented by the algorithm. But the colouring, quite clearly, is. I never was quite satisfied with the feature, so it happens very rarely. Blue here will be our only example, I believe.
